Buon ascolto e buona giornata 💋

Dead inside!
Revere a million prayers And draw me into your holiness But there’s nothing there Light only shines from those who share
Unleash a million drones And confine me then erase me babe Do you have no soul It’s like it died long ago
Your lips feel warm to the touch You can bring me back to life On the outside you’re ablaze and alive But you’re dead inside
You’re free to touch the sky Whilst I am crushed and pulverised Because you need control Now I’m the one who’s letting go
You like to give an inch Whilst I am giving infinity But now I’ve got nothing left You have no cares and I’m bereft
Your skin feels warm to caress I see magic in your eyes On the outside you’re ablaze and alive But you’re dead inside!
Feel me now Hold me please I need you to see who I am Open up to me Stop hiding from me It’s hurting babe Only you can stop the pain
Don’t leave me out in the cold Don’t leave me out to die I gave you everything I can’t give you anymore Now I’ve become just like you
My lips feel warm to the touch My words seem so alive My skin is warm to caress I’ll control and hypnotise
You’ve taught me to lie Without a trace And to kill with no remorse On the outside I’m the greatest guy Now I’m dead inside!
Jukebox time!!! Esatto, perché è Martedì e c’è Singing in the Rain!
Buon ascolto e a domani 💋

You only come out late at night
Just like an animal in the moonlight
You’re wrapped up tight in mystery
You’ve got me so fogged in that I can’t even see
My friends say I’m caught up in fairy tales and dreams And I confess, with you it feels like make-believe ‘Cause you’re a fantasy, you’re just a fantasy, yeah You’re a fantasy, Darling to me Do I really think I see you in the moonlight? Really wanna hold you ‘cause it feels right Really wanna see you tonight.
Last night I swore I heard you call my name Crawled through my window, took my hand and stole me away Went to the drive-in, speeding like a runaway train Woke up and smelled your scent in the morning rain
Woke up this morning, couldn’t get you out of my head I tried to call you up but the number was dead Drove by your place, convinced that you’d still be around But I saw a wrecking ball just tore your house down
My friends say I’m caught up in fairy tales and dreams And I confess, with you it feels like make-believe ‘Cause you’re a fantasy, you’re just a fantasy, yeah You’re a fantasy, Darling to me Do I really think I see you in the moonlight? Really wanna hold you ‘cause it feels right Really wanna see you tonight.
Really wanna see you tonight… Really wanna see you, sleep tight.
Buon ascolto e buona giornata 💋

Testo
There’s a new game We like to play you see A game with added reality You treat me like a dog Get me down on my knees
We call it master and servant We call it master and servant
It’s a lot like life This play between the sheets With you on top and me underneath Forget all about equality
Let’s play master and servant Let’s play master and servant
It’s a lot like life And that’s what’s appealing If you despise that throwaway feeling From disposable fun Then this is the one
Domination’s the name of the game In bed or in life They’re both just the same Except in one you’re fulfilled At the end of the day
Let’s play master and servant Let’s play master and servant
Let’s play master and servant Come on master and servant

Testo
They say immigrants steal the hubcaps Of the respected gentlemen They say it would be wine an’ roses If England were for Englishmen again
Well I saw a dirty overcoat At the foot of the pillar of the road Propped inside was an old man Whom time would not erode When the night was snapped by sirens Those blue lights circled fast The dancehall called for an’ ambulance The bars all closed up fast
My silence gazing at the ceiling While roaming the single room I thought the old man could help me If he could explain the gloom You really think it’s all new You really think about it too The old man scoffed as he spoke to me I’ll tell you a thing or two
I missed the fourteen-eighteen war But not the sorrow afterwards With my father dead and my mother ran off My brothers took the pay of hoods The twenties turned the north was dead The hunger strike came marching south At the garden party not a word was said The ladies lifted cake to their mouths
The next war began and my ship sailed With battle orders writ in bed In five long years of bullets and shells We left ten million dead The few returned to old Piccadily We limped around Leicester Square The world was busy rebuilding itself The architects could not care
But how could we know when I was young All the canges that were to come? All the photos in the wallets on the battlefield And now the terror of the scientific sun There was masters an’ servants an’ servants an’ dogs They taught you how to touch your cap But through strikes an’ famine an’ war an’ peace England never closed this gap
So leave me now the moon is up But remember all the tales I tell The memories that you have dredged up Are on letters forwarded from hell
The streets were by now deserted The gangs had trudged off home The lights clicked off in the bedsits An’ old England was all alone
